Finally the fields got a really good cut, all done by 6 women and 3 men. 20 acres, with brush cutters.

With the first Market of the year the Park returned to normal with a lovely day and a welcome return to this popular monthly event. It has been with us for 7 years and is looked forward to by the community.

We would like to thank Handri for her hard work to make this Market so special and more so, to thank her for her donation of the Market Parking fee to us which over the years has helped us keep the Park maintained.

We had St, Stithians College boys and girls and some from Roedean come and do a Clean up in the river and Park. 40 bags were collected.

We thank Pick’nPay for their generous donation of water and fruit for the pupils and that they delivered it for us. They stayed with us for the morning to see the clean up. We greatly appreciate their support in helping to keep this precious green lung for the community.

We all were sad to see the closure of the River Cafe, a precious part of the Park and Centre. After 17 years this special place will be sorely missed by Moms and children, families and even the pets who enjoyed the surroundings. The staff were our friends and we will miss them so much. We were like family.

We hope another will take it’s place soon.
