September 2021 News & Spruit Cleanup Day

NB. THE MARKET IS BACK. 9TH OCTOBER – 13TH NOVEMBER – 11TH DEC.

FOFS welcomes Des and Peter Nathaniel, and Carlo Zourides to the Committee. Such help on Clean Up Day. Des and Peter have donated the service of their gardener, Allan, once a week for 6 months to keep our entrance tidy. So important.

This month was WORLD CLEAN UP DAY on the 18th and the FOFS team organized a clean up on the day with volunteers. Approx 42 bags of rubbish was collected.

THANK YOU to Transpaco who donated 10,000 bags for the day and future use.! How lucky we are.

Thank you all those who did their bit for the environment by joining in. 4 of those living on the Bank did their own clean up the following day as well.

THANK YOU SPAR PARKMORE for supplying Boerie rolls and water and their red Gazebo. Your support is much appreciated. Thank you Allan and Simba for your help on the day. 4 staff came from SheerGuard and added their flag to the banners.

Spring has Sprung in the Park. The historic fruit trees in full blossom two weeks ago. Summer has arrived.

The community is enjoying the Park with walks, picnics,

Exercise classes or just being in our beautiful space .

HURRY UP RAIN!

The next event will be painting the dreary Play equipment courtesy Parks. We will get the Dinosaur back to his happy self of bright colours and not looking “sad” as one 5 year old said.
